Lady Thatcher's relationship
with the ESU of the United States spans four decades.
As a young MP, Lady Thatcher undertook
a speaking tour in the United States among ESU US Branches.
In 1991 she was awarded the ESU
US Founders Award.
Her exceptional ability to
articulate the major issues of the day with eloquence, decisiveness
and vision made her the ideal
person to initiate these lectures. The theme of the series
is "The Contribution of the English-speaking People
to the World".
